Our Story

Jake and Rachel met through mutual friends while playing table-top role playing games in 2015. They quickly formed a strong friendship built on a mutual love of gaming, adventuring, and gluttony. They have conquered rope courses, endured raiding in WoW, embarked upon many bike trips, fought and died in multiple D&D campaigns, and arduously tried to stay in shape while cooking countless new recipes and exploring many delicious restaurants together.

In the fall of 2016 they realized their mutual desire to spend every waking second together might mean they were more than just friends, and thus began dating. Life together has been wonderful ever since. They have begun to explore the world, from vising London England, to relaxing in a resort in Cancun Mexico, to seeing the 2017 solar eclipse in St. Louis. Somehow they still find time to sink countless hours into playing video games together, and regularly attend anime and comic book conventions (often dressed up as their favorite characters).

They both know that the best is yet to come. They've not only found their best friend, but now get to spend the rest of their lives together.

Read Bio

Jake grew up in Hope Township in Midland County. He is the oldest of two, having one younger brother. Growing up he was always obsessed with things being neat and perfect. Even as an infant he would stop eating and scream if the table of his high chair wasn't clean at all times.

Naturally he was drawn to computer programming. Jake recieved his Bachelors of science in computer science in 2011, and his Masters of science in computer science in 2013. He quickly realized that no matter where you work you'll always have an idiot boss and decided that idiot might as well be himself, thus founding his own company, DataDyne Technologies, in 2014.

As an avid gamer he counts himself unbelievably luckly to have found the perfect player two in Rachel.
